i dont know how my parents do it, but they seem to look and act younger as they get older. i certainly do hope that this is a genetic thing and i will eventually manage to sponge off its goodness!

everyone please meet michael the grouch (this is meant affectionately, despite our numerous disagreements over everything under the tuscan sun), whose birthday happens to fall on june 16! he is old enough to be a grandfather (oops, am i supposed to tell everyone that? who gives), but i on the other hand am not quite prepared, nor willing, to play any part in helping him achieve 'grandfather' status. no way jose. not in the near future, fo' sho'.

anyhow. we went a lil overboard today and celebrated over lunch and dinner in a rather extravagant fashion. luckily they were paid for, otherwise i will never stop kao peh-ing over him not letting me go to HK because hes being a giam gu. we had lunch at the sentosa resort! thanks to crumby weather, my plans to go tanning after self-stuffing kinda fell through. which didnt turn out to be such a bad thing because by then my tummy was bulging beyond its full potential. we then proceeded to have dinner at lei garden 5 hours later. being intelligent as i am, i went and filled myself up with scrumptious appetizers so i didnt really get to enjoy the rest of the dishes when they finally turned up. then again, i never quite appreciated chinese food anyway. food is food. i'm blessed to get any :D

ok i honestly dont know how this entry got so long and informative. but i think i'm just high on food and excess sugar. show some voyeuristic love.
