are we masters of our own fate?

i never believed in jinxed dates until i noticed an eerie trend that seemed to surface at the exact same time every month. what perturbed me even more was the fact that my organizer confirmed the existence of this incredible recurring nightmare that occurred on the supposedly three unlucky days of each month gone by. the 2 days leading up to the 28th was always marred by some unfortunate event(s) which pretty much caused major upheaval to the status quo.

i cant argue with the fact that chaos seems to always be at its prime during this time of the month, ever ready to threaten and attack me with its thorny tentacles. however, im happy with the way things have turned out this time round. in fact, i dont think i couldve been happier.

had the most amazing time last night driving around aimlessly and talking about the past, both seriously and in jest. im amused by the shocking number of 'what ifs' that could've put us on some other path to some place else. theres rarely ever a time when i bother to take initiative of any sort, and i couldnt be more grateful tht i'd chosen to be out of character at the most crucial times. not forgetting your persistence and determination at catching that one irresistable little fish, of course :)

who's keeping count anyway?
