in the midst of this temporary state of catatonia, i find myself given extra fragments of time which allow for necessary reflection, every now and then, upon the occurences of late. either by luck alone, or some unforeseen and fortunate twist of fate, it suddenly dawns on me just how blessed i am. sometimes, we choose to scrutinize every tiny upsetting detail and use it as a basis to pass judgement or mope about the misfortunes that befall us. it really takes a lot less to look at the good instead of the bad.

of course it is advised that you do not take my random musings too seriously. as flippant as i am, it could be a different story altogether in another 24 hours.

there are times i look at the past from a third person's perspective and each phase of my life just seems so damn surreal. i feel completely alien from the person i apparently used to be. doesnt that ever happen to you sometimes ? you get shocked by the difference between the person you once were and who you are now. and when that happens, i cant help but feel ancient at the same time.
